My first steps!

First thing I do is I get the Sunday paper.  CVS has a 2pk for $5.  I normally buy 3 of those.  (Seems like a lot but I make up the $15 in one trip). 

Then I get a list of all the local stores weekly circular.   Everything from CVS, Walgreens, Tom Thumb, Kroger, Walmart, Sprouts, Albertsons, & Brookshires. 

Walmart matches any deal.  If you bring the circular or a print out from online. 

I find an item that is on sale at one of the stores and match that with the coupons from the paper for the same item.  Then I save!!

Example from this week.  Walmart had Jimmy Dean sausage rolls for $3.98.  Brookshires had them on sale for 2/$4 and I had $1.00 coupon from the paper.   Because I had 4 papers, I had 4 coupons & I took the brookshires weekly circular.  So I bought 4 sausage rolls for $6.  Total price per roll $ 1.50.  original price $3.98.  I saved @ $2.50 per roll and they freeze really good.
